We were commenting a few days ago about how almost all of the snow was gone from our yard and how we should get ready to put the boots away, and then last Friday we woke up to snow. Not just a little flurry mind you, we now have five new inches of snow! Anyway, because this depresses us we have had to look for amusement in various places, mostly in the kids.
For example, Evalyn loves to repeat everything Spencer says. This, as you can imagine, is quite annoying for Spencer. Lately, when we tell Evalyn to respect her brother and not copy what he says she will slyly go up to Spencer, get in his face and say "Copy, copy" and then turn and run away. It is quite amusing.
Secondly, she has shown herself to be quite the dramatic actress. She has taken an interest in hiding in our closet and being really still and quiet even when we call her name. Then she runs out, pleased with herself, and says "Here me are." The funny thing is that she likes to recount these adventures for us. This is how she puts it:
"Evowyn, hide in mommy, daddy closet. Mommy, Daddy come in, say (this next part is repeated in a higher voice) "Evowyn, where are you. Where is Evowyn." Mommy, Daddy can't see. Evowyn come out. (Again in a higher and louder voice), "Here me am, here am Evowyn." Okay, so I am struggling with things to occupy my time.
Anyway, we hope you are all doing well. Spencer and I started swimming lessons again yesterday so we are very excited for that and hopefully in the future we'll have more interesting things to blog.

It's hard to believe Evalyn is talking so much! That was a really funny! We miss you guys and hope you are starting to unthaw.
